How we use your information

We use personal data to:

  • provide and administer courses and Services (create accounts, deliver classes, operate Classroom/Meet, issue certificates);

  • record sessions for replays and quality, moderate classes, and protect learners and platform integrity;

  • process payments, invoicing, refunds, and prevent fraud;

  • run analytics (GA4) to improve our Site and offerings with your consent via our cookie banner;

  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms; maintain security logs; and manage legal claims.

Legal bases (UK GDPR)

We rely on the following legal bases:

  • Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): to provide the Services you request.

  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): to record and moderate classes, operate and secure our Services, and manage programme operations (you may object at any time; we’ll consider accommodations such as camera‑off/alias, which may limit interactive participation).

  • Legal obligation: tax/accounting compliance, responses to lawful requests.

  • Consent: marketing communications and analytics cookies (withdraw anytime via unsubscribe or the cookie banner); processing any special category data you voluntarily provide.

Vital interests: where necessary to protect life or prevent serious harm.

Cookies and tracking

We use a consent‑based cookie banner.

  • Strictly necessary cookies: security, session management, basic functionality (including Google reCAPTCHA where implemented).

Analytics cookies (GA4): off until you opt in. You can change preferences via the banner or your browser settings. Example GA4 cookies include _ga and _ga_*.
We do not use advertising pixels or behavioural ads unless we later disclose them in an updated Cookie Notice.

When and with whom we share information

We share personal data with service providers that help us deliver the Services, under contracts requiring appropriate safeguards:

  • Google (Workspace, Meet, Classroom, Drive, reCAPTCHA)

  • Payment processors: Stripe, Revolut Business, PayPal, Wise

  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4

Communications: email provider(s); cohort messaging via Telegram where used
We may also share data where required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer (e.g., merger or acquisition). We do not sell your personal information.

International transfers

Our primary hosting is in the UK, but some providers operate globally. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum (IDTA) and/or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) with supplementary measures when required.

Data retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or to meet legal requirements:

  • Student records & invoices: 6 years after your last purchase (tax/limitation).

  • Recordings & course materials: available during the programme and for 1 month after the programme ends; we aim to delete/archive teaching recordings within 3 months after access ends (backup copies may persist for up to 90 days).

  • Support enquiries: 24 months after closure.

Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe or after 24 months of inactivity.
We may retain data longer to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it; if deletion is not possible (e.g., backups), we securely store and isolate it until deletion is feasible.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, secure cloud storage, role‑based access, MFA for admin accounts, least‑privilege access reviews, and staff confidentiality commitments. No system is perfectly secure—please protect your account and report incidents promptly.
